Angry Alan

Poignant and darkly comic
Why see Angry Alan?
John Krasinksi stars
Angry Alan marks the return of Emmy-nominee John Krasinski (The Office, A Quiet Place) to the New York stage, headlining the first production at Off-Broadway's Studio Seaview! Directed by Tony-winner Sam Gold, this dark comedy by Penelope Skinner, co-created with Don Mackay, is an ever more timely exploration of modern masculinity. With the play's star performer and a creative team featuring some of the industry's best, Angry Alan serves as the perfect launch for Studio Seaview to establish itself as a bold new theatre space.
What Is The Story?
Roger is a divorced, disillusioned man whose sense of purpose has all but vanished, until he stumbles upon an online figure who offers him a radical new perspective. As Roger becomes consumed by this digital echo chamber, his journey into the world of men's rights activism becomes unsettlingly real. Originally premiering at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Angry Alan is a strikingly relevant examination of the seductive pull of extremist ideologies.
