Sondheim's final work

Stephen Sondheim's final musical is set to make its Off-Broadway premiere this fall, after a somewhat rocky path to the stage. 

Created by Sondheim and David Ives and directed by Joe Mantello, Here We Are draws inspiration from the surrealist dinner parties of the films of Luis Bunuel. Details are scant at this time, but with such a stellar cast and creative team, Here We Are is likely to be a hot ticket this fall!

One of American Musical Theatre's greatest composers, Sondheim's long and illustrious career began with a credit on West Side Story and went on to blossom in the 70s and 80s with hits like Follies, Sweeney Todd, and Into The Woods cementing his genius to generations of theatre-goers. With an inimitable style full of lyrical acrobatics and searing dark humor, his legacy and influence continue to shape the theatrical landscape to this day.
