Why see A Christmas Carol?
What's Christmas Without A Scrooge
It wouldn't be Christmas without the classic tale of self-improvement, of one man going from miser to munificent, of redemption and Christmas cheer. For the 39th year in a row, Port Jefferson's Theatre Three is reviving its critically acclaimed production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, adapted by longstanding Scrooge legend, Jeffrey Sanzel. Bring the whole family along for the perfect festive night out!
What's It About?
It's Christmas Eve, and Ebenezer Scrooge wallows at home, despising the yuletide and all the joy that comes with it. After turning away two charity collectors, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, one Jacob Marley who is weighed down by the quite literal chains of his greed. Marley informs Scrooge that he will be visited by three ghosts, and will be given the chance to redeem himself, lest he meet the same fate.
