Praise for Paul Mescal

"Paul Mescal brings a fierce and dangerous energy...Mescal appears as natural on stage as on screen."
- The Guardian

"Shedding the tenderness that helped make him, Mescal's panther-like Stanley luxuriates in his physical prowess. The actor makes Stanley not just dangerous but scarily pleased with himself, a vicious grin atop a body utterly at ease."
- Variety

"Paul Mescal electrifies in a revelatory 'Streetcar'
- The New York Times

What is the story of A Streetcar Named Desire?

First opening on Broadway in 1947, Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire follows the life of protagonist Blanche DuBois who leaves her aristocratic lifestyle behind after a dramatic loss leaves her moneyless. She enters New Orleans French Quarter to live with her younger sister and brother-in-law.

A Streetcar Named Desire is widely regarded as one of the best plays of the 20th century. Following its premiere, the production received the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play, the New York Drama Critics' Circle for Best Play, and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
