Liberation

Why see Liberation?

The World Premiere Of Liberation

Somewhere in 1970s Ohio, six highly determined women meet on a basketball court to discuss changing the world. Now in the present day, one of their daughters is in the process of trying to get a grasp on where their mother's mission fell apart. Described as provocative', this world premiere of Tony Award nominee Bess Wohl's (Grand Horizons) incredibly theatrical show asks us vital questions about legacy, friendship, and what the meaning of liberation truly is.

Directed by Whitney White (If I Forget, Marvins Room) and written by Bess Wohl, Laura Pels Theatre hosts the world premiere of a show that is equally parts inspirational as it is exciting.

Cast and creative teams will be announced nearer the time.

The whole cast brings warmth and depth, and under Whitney White’s direction, the show balances humor with some truly moving moments. Smart, emotional, and full of heart—Liberation is one to see. ...
