After being premiered in LA, Summer, the musical that harmoniously depicts music legend Donna Summer's incredible life and the unforgettable legacy that she left behind comes to New York. It stars three actresses as they portray the late singer's life at various stages; the trials, tribulations and the triumphs. Tony-winner LaChanze takes on the role of Ms Summer, and was nominated for a 2018 Tony Award for her performance!
Donna Summer's story is not one to be forgotten. The artist rose to fame in the disco genre that became mainstream in the late 1970s. Her talent propelled her in establishing a world famous and well respected musical career that saw her win five Grammys and have three consecutive albums reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
Featuring over 20 hits from the late superstar including 'I Feel Love,' 'She Works Hard for the Money,' and 'Love to Love You Baby,' this show takes viewers on a journey through legendary music and celebrates the life of an icon.
