Summer: The Donna Summer Musical Announces Closing Date!

After 289 performances on Broadway, Summer: The Donna Summer Musical has announced that they will be taking their final bow at the Lunt Fontanne Theater on December 30. A national tour will launch September 30, 2019.
The musical opened on Broadway back in April after an out-of-town try out in San Diego back in 2017. Summer: The Donna Summer musical features more than 20 of the chart topper's hits including "Hot Stuff", "MacArthur Park" and "Love to Love You Baby". The musical also stars three different actors in the role of Donna Summer, who portray the Disco songstress at different stages of her career. Tony winner LaChanze is Diva Donna with
Ariana DeBose as Disco Donna and new-comer Storm Lever as Duckling Donna.

Donna Summer's story is not one to be forgotten. The artist rose to fame in the disco genre that became mainstream in the late 1970s. Her talent propelled her in establishing a world famous and well respected musical career that saw her win five Grammys and have three consecutive albums reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
Summer: The Donna Summer Musical is currently playing at the Lunt Fontanne Theater through to December 30.
