Annie

Why see Annie?

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan ANNIE charms everyone's hearts, despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. And now, alongside her signature pal dog, Sandy, she's set her sights on making us grin from ear to ear as she inspires a whole new millennium!

Winner of 7 Tony Awards including Best Musical, ANNIE - with Music by Charles Strouse, Lyrics by Martin Charnin, and Book by Thomas Meehan - makes its triumphant return to Broadway in a brand new production which has been nominated for a 2013 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical! The revival is directed by three-time Tony Award winner James Lapine and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler.

The score includes the optimistic anthem "Tomorrow," plus "Maybe," "It's the Hard Knock Life," "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile," "Easy Street," "I Don't Need Anything But You," "NYC" and more.

Great show

I took my 6 year old to the Wednesday night showing and it was a great performance! Annie was spot on. Many powerful voices! We have noticed with the last several shows at the Orpheum that the sound crews have been off their game. We spent a lot of time wondering if it's the facility that needs upgrading, or if it's road crews that have a hard time adjusting to our theater acoustics. ... Read more

Matinee Annie Lillian Hochman.

This little girl’s voice packs a punch! I highly recommend the local talent of this powerful vocalist. Our Orchestra Left seats were perfect. The orchestra overpowered the voices a few times, but I saw the very first matinee show and I’m sure there are still some tweaks being worked out. The dog is a little naughty (barked a few times) but Lillian handles the dog behavior like a pro. The cast is really talented overall, but Lillian’s performance is emotional and sweet and while her talent exceeds her youth, as a youngster performer her acting as Annie really endearing. Not to be missed! ... Read more
