Why see Annie?
Annie brightens up the holiday season in 2017
The award-winning Paper Mill Playhouse have announced their 2017/18 Broadway season, and little orphan Annie will be taking pride of place for the holiday season! One of the world's favorite family-friendly musicals, this life affirming and acclaimed Tony-winning production fills you with sunshine, with hit classics 'Tomorrow, 'Hard Knock Life' and many more. Since its Broadway premiere in 1977, Annie has delighted audiences worldwide and its a particular favourite of children who love Annie's cheeky demeanour and her bubbly outlook.
It's truly is a hard knock life for Annie and the other orphans of Depression-era New York City, under the patronage of the scheming Miss Hannigan at the Hudson Street Orphanage. One day, Annie's life is changed for ever when Grace, the beautiful assistant of the enigmatic millionaire Oscar (Daddy) Warbucks comes to ask for an orphan to stay at his mansion for the Christmas holidays. This begins a wild and mad-cap adventure where Annie's bright and shining personality wins over the miserly businessman and teaches him the meaning of love, life and looking on the bright side.
