John Patrick Shanley's powerful Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play returns to Broadway in 2024. Starring Tyne Daly and Liev Schreiber as a nun and priest working together at an all-boys Catholic School in the Bronx, Doubt: A Parable is a riveting meditation on uncertainty in the face of prejudice that follows when liberal-minded Father Flynn (Schreiber) is suspected of wrong-doing by his strict conservative colleague, Sister Aloysius (Daly). With three Tony-nominations under its belt, this show is a must-see!
Mistrust, prejudice, and the machinations of the Catholic church are all put on blast in this searing drama that won the Pulitzer Prize in 2005 after winning four Tony Awards, including Best Play, for its original Broadway run at the Walter Kerr Theatre in 2005. Later made into an Oscar-nominated film starring Meryl Streep and Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Shanley's story resonates to this day as it explores division that can come from deeply held beliefs and the unwillingness to entertain another point of view.
