Death Becomes Her The Musical To Make Broadway Debut

It’s news to die for!

The devilishly delightful adaptation of the iconic film Death Becomes Her is set for a spooky Broadway debut, just in time for Halloween! The musical will play at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, beginning its run on October 23, 2024, and officially opening on November 21, 2024!

The Cast and Creatives


The production is led by Tony Award nominees Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard. Joining Hilty and Simard are Tony Award nominee Christopher Sieber and Grammy Award winner Michelle Williams.

Choreographed and Directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli, the musical has a book by Marco Pennette and an original score by Julia Mattison & Noel Carey, with scenic design by two-time Tony Award winner Derek McLane, costume design by Tony Award winner Paul Tazewell, and lighting design by Tony Award winner Justin Townsend.

What's The Story?


Death Becomes Her follows the turbulent relationship between two lifelong frenemies, the glamorous actress Madeline Ashton and the aspiring writer Helen Sharp. When Madeline steals Helen's fianc, the two women's rivalry reaches new heights. Enter Viola Van Horn, a mysterious woman offering a magical potion that promises eternal youth and beauty. After drinking the elixir, Madeline and Helen find themselves on a twisted journey of immortality.
