Dirty Dancing Musical Possibly Coming To Broadway

A new adaptation of Dirty Dancing is set to premiere on Broadway in the fall of 2025. Directed by Lonny Price, who played Neil Kellerman in the 1987 movie, and written by the original screenwriter Eleanor Bergstein, this production promises to bring the beloved classic to life with new choreography and even original music.
Produced by Lionsgate and Path Entertainment Group, this isn't the first stage adaptation of the iconic film. The first debuted in 2004 in Australia, ran on London's West End in 2008, and toured North America in 2014.
Set in the blistering summer of 1963, the stage show follows Frances "Baby" Houseman and her dance instructor Johnny Castle as they navigate life and love together.
With the original film starring Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze remaining a beloved classic, more details about this exciting new production will be revealed soon.
