Alexi Kaye Campbell's critically acclaimed Apologia is lighting up the off-Broadway Laura Pels Theater after a ground-breaking run in London's West End! Take a look at Tony and Emmy winner, Stockard Channing in action as she leads the cast.
The production, which began performances on September 27, also stars Hugh Dancy, John Tillinger, Megalyn Echikunwoke and Talene Monahon as Channing's family, with direction from Daniel Aukin. First premiering in 2009 this witty production asks the hard to answer questions, revealing dark truths and explores the relationships of one family on the brink of destruction.
What is Apologia about?
Kristin is a renowned art historian and humanitarian. Not one to miss out on a protest or picket line, Kristin prides herself on her compassion and self-sacrifice to important causes. However as her birthday looms and her children return home in order to celebrate her newly released memoir, it becomes obvious that they may not mirror her view of events. As the wine begins to flow, long-held tensions are released and Kristin must decide whether it was all worth it.
