Paul Sparks To Replace Brendan Fraser in Grangeville
Jack Serio directs the Signature Theatre world premiere from Samuel D. Hunter
Hollywood superstar Brendan Fraser may be leaving Grangeville, but fear not, as the role of Jerry is in the good hands of SAG and Independent Spirit Award winner Paul Sparks, who will replace previously announced Oscar winner Brendan Fraser in Signature Theatre's forthcoming world premiere of Samuel D. Hunter's Grangeville.
About Paul Sparks
Grangeville makes his return to Signature Theatre, having previously appeared in the company's productions of Edward Albee's At Home at the Zoo in 2018 and Landscape of the Body in 2006. His most recent New York stage appearance was in 2023, starring in Theatre for a New Audience's production of Waiting for Godot, directed by Arin Arbus. On-screen, he can currently be seen in Jeff Nichols' film The Bikeriders, produced by 21st Century Fox.
Sparks will join Brian J. Smith (The Matrix Resurrections, The Glass Menagerie, The Columnist) in the two-hander.
About Grangeville
For his whole life Jerry has lived in Grangeville, Idaho, whilst his creative brother Arnold traveled across the Atlantic to establish himself in the artistic world. However when their mother falls ill, Arnold returns to their hometown, and the two are forced to reexamine their past through new eyes and the spirit of reconnection.
