Author DanielDaniel, February 7th, 2025

The new cast members will take to the stage on March 4

As Wicked continues to cast its spell on Broadway audiences in its 21st year, cast changes have been announced for the beloved musical.

Recently adapted into a film starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, Wicked will soon welcome new cast members to its Broadway production.

In a historic moment, Lencia Kebede (known for her role in Hamilton) will become the first Black actress to take on the role of Elphaba full-time. Joining her will be Allie Trimm, who steps into the role of Glinda.

Additionally, Natasha Yvette Williams will join the company as Madame Morrible, Jenna Bainbridge will join as Nessarose, and Daniel Quadrino will join as Boq. Bainbridge's casting is particularly noteworthy as she becomes the first wheelchair-using actor to portray Nessarose on stage, following Marissa Bode's role in the film adaptation.

The current leads, Mary Kate Morrisey and Alexandra Socha, will grace the stage for the final time on March 2, with new cast members taking the stage on March 4.
